MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State baseball player Alex Call was recently named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-America second team. He was one of just three Mid-American Conference players to make the prestigious list.
This was the second time Call’s name found a spot on an All-America list. The outfielder from River Falls, Wisconsin, was named a Louisville Slugger first team All-American by Collegiate Baseball in early June.
Call, who was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the third round of this year's Major League Baseball Draft, led the MAC in hits (87), runs (67), doubles (24), triples (6), total bases (162) and slugging (.
