WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Ball State women’s tennis team wrapped up its competition at the Purdue Fall Invitational Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals had four players participating in singles play in four different draws.
Senior Rosalinda Calderon finished fall play at Purdue undefeated, after winning her final match over Mid-American Conference affiliate Miami’s Erin Rodriguez by a score of 6-1, 7-5. Senior Carmen Blanco took home third place in the Boiler Up Draw after posting a three set come from behind win over Eastern Kentucky’s Laura Argente. After suffering a 6-3 loss in the first set to Argente, Blanco took the second set in a tiebreaker situation (7-6 (4)) before clinching the match with a 6-4 decision in the last set.
