MUNCIE, Ind. — Days after its 10-point victory over Mid-American Conference front-runner Toledo, Ball State (11-12, 6-6 MAC) returned home Tuesday to face off against Central Michigan (6-14, 5-4 MAC).
Both teams came in winning three of their last four and the Cardinals had won four of their last five. But it was the Chippewas – who beat the Cardinals 89-85 in both teams first overtime game of the season – who kept their momentum rolling.
Despite trailing most of the game, Ball State, which led 78-75 with :16 left, had a chance to win in regulation.
