MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State men’s basketball returned to action Tuesday for the first time in more than a week and suffered a 75-62 defeat against Bowling Green.
The Cardinals came into the Mid-American Conference matchup having already defeated the Falcons earlier this season, in that Jan. 12 contest winning by 24 points. BSU coach James Whitford’s squad had a chance to pick up a valuable conference win at home against a team it’s currently battling with for seeding ahead of the MAC tournament. And yet Ball State (7-10, 5-7 in MAC) proved unable to take advantage of the opportunity and has now lost five of its last six games.
