MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State men’s basketball ended its four-game losing streak with an 81-67 win Saturday at home against Toledo.
The Cardinals, previously winless since mid-January, found themselves down by as many as 16 points in the first half against their Mid-American Conference foe. They recovered, battling back to tie the score against the Rockets late in the first half before heading into halftime down just two points. After a second half that saw much of the final 20 minutes played close, BSU (7-9, 5-6 in MAC) pulled away late to win by 14 points.
Six of the eight Ball State athletes who played Saturday for coach James Whitford finished in double figures scoring, with redshirt sophomore guard Jarron Coleman leading the way with a season-high 19 points.
