Buzzer breakdown: BSU men’s basketball beats Central Michigan to win 2nd-straight game

MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State men’s basketball faced Central Michigan for the first time this season and topped the Chippewas in a 97-91 win.

In what was the Cardinals’ sixth-straight game played inside of Worthen Arena, coach James Whitford’s squad earned a second-straight victory. BSU led by a point at halftime after a 3 from sophomore guard Luke Bumbalough in the waning seconds, and in the second half led by as many as 11 points before winning by six. And now, with just two games left on its schedule ahead of the Mid-American Conference tournament, Ball State has improved to 9-11 overall and 7-8 against the MAC.
