MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State returned Tuesday to Worthen Arena for a matchup with one of the Mid-American Conference’s best to this point of the season, Northern Illinois, and beat NIU 63-59.
The Cardinals (14-10, 7-4 in MAC) remained undefeated at home during conference play with the win. They topped a team in the Huskies (15-10, 8-4) that is leading the MAC’s West Division. And BSU coach James Whitford’s squad also ended NIU’s six-game winning streak in the process.
