MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State played its third-straight game in Worthen Arena on Tuesday and proved unable to win a second-straight game as it suffered a 69-62 defeat against Western Illinois.
BSU (4-3) struggled to find much consistency on the offensive end of the floor until the second half. It benefited from noteworthy performances from redshirt senior forward Tahjai Teague and junior guard Ishmael El-Amin, although their efforts weren’t enough to deliver a victory. And while its defense stepped up at times during the comeback, it couldn’t hold off Western Illinois late.
Here are three takeaways from the game.
