MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State dropped its second-straight game in Mid-American Conference play Tuesday with a 72-59 loss on the road against Buffalo.
The Cardinals (14-12, 7-6 in MAC) proved unable to complete a regular season sweep of the Bulls with this defeat. BSU coach James Whitford’s squad’s path toward a bye in the conference tournament has now become a bit murkier as it lost against a team it entered the day tied for fourth with overall in the MAC. And now Ball State will return to Worthen Arena for two home games that it’ll likely need to win to remain in contention for a MAC West Division title.
