MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State picked up a senior night victory Tuesday with an 85-68 win against Mid-American Conference foe Central Michigan.
The Cardinals (17-13, 10-7 in MAC) ensured they wouldn’t leave the regular season swept by the Chippewas (13-17, 6-11). BSU coach James Whitford’s squad improved its record at home against the MAC to 8-1. And now all that’s left for Ball State before the start of the conference tournament is a consequential matchup Friday at Northern Illinois (18-12, 11-6 in MAC), a game that will determine the MAC West Division champion.
