MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State proved unable to pick up another victory against one of the Mid-American Conference’s best Saturday as it lost 77-71 against Bowling Green.

The Cardinals (14-11, 7-5 in MAC) suffered their first defeat at home in conference play. They dropped their second game this season against a Falcons (19-7, 10-3) team that’s now won four in a row against the Cardinals. And BSU coach James Whitford’s squad must look ahead to a road matchup at Buffalo for the next opportunity at a win.
