Ball State ensured its regular season would end on a positive note Friday as it earned a 75-54 win on the road against Northern Illinois to wrap up this portion of its Mid-American Conference slate.
The Cardinals (18-13, 11-7 in MAC) captured a regular-season sweep of the Huskies (18-13, 11-7) with the victory. BSU coach James Whitford’s squad secured a much-needed result away from Worthen Arena, something it had struggled to do in the past this year. And with this win Ball State has now clinched both a share of the MAC West Division title and a bye in the conference tournament.
