MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State (13-15, 8-9 MAC) clinched its spot in the Mid-American Conference Tournament with a 75-64 victory over Eastern Michigan (10-19, 5-13 MAC).
The Cardinals will either be the sixth or seventh seed. Mathematically, Central Michigan (7-19, 6-9 MAC) could still surpass Ball State, but even if Miami (12-17, 6-12 MAC) wins its next two games and Ball State loses its next two, the Cardinals hold the head-to-head tiebreaker. Bowling Green (12-17, 5-13 MAC), Eastern Michigan (10-19, 5-13 MAC) and Northern Illinois (8-20, 5-13 MAC) can't reach eight wins.
