MUNCIE, Ind. — Another game, another win for Ball State men's basketball.
The Cardinals (19-7, 10-3 MAC) on Tuesday topped Northern Illinois (11-15, 7-6 MAC) 87-77 in Worthen Arena, clinching a spot in the Mid-American Conference tournament with its sixth straight victory.
Ball State is currently slotted in the No. 3 seed.
It wasn't the dominating performance that BSU enjoyed at NIU on on Jan. 28, when its 87-69 thrashing sparked this win streak and helped shed the disappointment of the prior loss to Buffalo, but the Cardinals again elevated their play in crunchtime.
