Brittany Kelly, a record-setting Ball State women's golfer and PGA assistant professional, died Tuesday. She was 32 years old.
Kelly golfed at Ball State 2007-11. There, she became the first female golfer in Ball State history to be selected for the NCAA regional in 2011. During her collegiate career, Kelly earned numerous honors, including: All-MAC First Team (2010-11), All-MAC Tournament Team (2010), Academic All-MAC and NGCA All-American Scholar (2010-11), All-MAC Second Team (2009), Ball State Most Valuable Player (2009-10) and Ball State Freshman of the Year (2008).
In April, she was named into the Ball State Athletics Hall of Fame, becoming the first women's golfer in school history to do so.
