MUNCIE, Ind. – Junior Brendan Surane of the No. 9 Ball State (17-5, 9-1) men’s volleyball team was named Offensive Player of the Week by the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Tuesday afternoon.
Surane, a junior outside attacker, helped Ball State to a 3-1 conference win at IPFW and a 3-2 non-league win over UC Irvine last week. In the win over then No. 13 UC Irvine, Surane led the Cardinals with a season-high 22 kills for an average of 4.40 per set. He was at his best when it mattered the most, recording five kills in the fifth set.
