BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Ball State women's basketball team is now off to its best start in Mid-American Conference action since the 2008-09 season after its 75-53 road win at Bowling Green Saturday afternoon in the Stroh Center. The Cardinals are now 13-6 overall and 6-1 in league play while Bowling Green drops 5-14 on the year and 1-6 in the MAC.
Senior center Renee Bennett scored her 1,000th point off of a jumper with 36 seconds left on the game clock. Bennett led all scorers with 22-points and 12 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season and seventh of her career.
