CLEVELAND - Ball State women's basketball senior center Renee Bennett has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Bennett combine for 44 points during last week's competition. She scored a team-high 16 points for Purdue and then led the Cardinals again with a career-best 28 point performance at Oakland. Bennett is the only Ball State player to reach double figures in all nine games this season.
She led all players in both games this week and reached double figures by halftime in those contests. Her career-best helped lift the Cardinals past the Golden Grizzlies Sunday afternoon to give Ball State its sixth win of the season.
