Baseball Tops Toledo in Series Opener, 7-6

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State baseball team won a back-and-forth series opener Friday against Toledo, 7-6, at First Merchants Ballpark Complex.

The top of the lineup got it done for the Cardinals with the 1-4 batters combining to go 9-for-17 with six RBIs. Noah Navarro drove in two of those runs, including what proved to be the game-winner with a sacrifice fly in the seventh.

Andre Orselli then came out of the bullpen in the eighth and proceeded to allow just one base runner to seal the deal in the first of four games this weekend.
