CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The Ball State baseball team exploded for 27 runs in a doubleheader sweep at Western Carolina Friday afternoon. The Cardinals won game one by a count of 7-4 and then took the second game, 20-8.
Senior outfielder tied an NCAA Division I record in the second game with five doubles. The native of Cookeville, Tennessee, tied the national mark with a two-run double in the top of the seventh inning. He is the seventh Division I player to register five doubles and the first since Western Carolina's Aaron Attaway in a 2012 game against Iona.
