MUNCIE, Ind. — Due to an issue with the ESPN3 broadcast, fans were unable to watch the first 15 minutes of Ball State men's basketball's Saturday game at Western Michigan.
What viewers missed was a poor Cardinals start marred by missed shots, and when viewing finally became accessible, BSU already held a multi-possession deficit that it'd never shrink.
Ball State (19-8, 10-4 MAC) lost 78-68 to the Broncos (7-20, 3-11 MAC), who entered the afternoon in third-to-last place in the Mid-American Conference standings after losing nine straight contests.
The Cardinals, conversely, traveled to Kalamazoo, Michigan, riding a six-game winning streak, during which they played some of their most complete basketball of the season.
