MUNCIE, Ind. – The 2016 fall academic semester was another successful one in the classroom for Ball State University student-athletes. Fourteen of the 18 Cardinal athletic teams finished the fall semester with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) at or above 3.0.
"We are very proud of the academic success our teams achieved for the fall semester," Director of Athletics Mark Sandy said. "Earning a degree is the foremost goal of our student-athletes, and their efforts were outstanding."
Men's tennis posted the highest team GPA at 3.64. The Cardinals, who reached the Mid-American Conference Championship match last spring and are led by the 2016 MAC Co-Player of the Year Lucas Andersen, begin their 2017 spring schedule on Jan.
