MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State baseball had three pitchers — Trennor O'Donnell, Ryan Brown and Ty Johnson — selected in the 2023 MLB Draft on July 9-11 in Seattle, and another, Ty Weatherly, sign afterward as a free agent.
It's the largest class of Cardinals to enter MLB organizations in a single year since 2016. Not only were they thrilled to achieve a lifelong dream, they all agreed it was even better to share with teammates.
"We were talking before the year … about just that group that I played with for multiple years that we could all potentially get drafted and signed, and that's what happened," Brown said.
