MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State has hired Michael Lewis as its next men's basketball coach.
Lewis, a Jasper, Indiana native, comes to Ball State after spending the last three seasons at UCLA, which saw the Bruins make two NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Final Four run in Indianapolis in 2021. Lewis is set to become the 20th head coach in Ball State in program history.
"Basketball in our state is personified in Michael Lewis,” Ball State director of athletics Beth Goetz said in a press release. “His outlook on the game, relationship building, recruiting network, pedigree and proactive approach to engagement with our stakeholders resides at a high level.
