MUNCIE, Ind. — After the match, senior middle blocker Felix Egharevba was smiling from ear-to-ear.
Ball State, like most men's volleyball teams across the country, is in lose-or-go-home mode. The Cardinals (22-3) certainly know the implications of what could happen if they have an off night.
But Egharevba and his teammates don't seem focused on the pressure that can come with each match at this point in the season. He said head coach Donan Cruz often talks about manifesting positive thoughts. Well, Ball State must've manifested a number of positive thoughts heading into Wednesday.
The Cardinals swept Lewis (25-23, 25-17, 25-15) in rather dominant fashion to punch their first ticket to the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association championship match since 2009.
