Worthen Arena was filled with red and white Friday night as No. 9 Ball State men’s volleyball (17-6, 9-2 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) hosted No. 1 Ohio State (19-3, 10-1 MIVA).
It was a rematch of the Feb. 6 matchup in Columbus where the Cardinals upset the Buckeyes in five sets, this time it was the Cardinals who fell to the Buckeyes in four sets (22-25, 25-21, 22-25, 15-25).
Head coach Joel Walton said his team competed for three of the four sets, but were not able to create enough offense to pull out the victory.
“We have to generate consistent offense,” Walton said.
