In the last game of the regular season, Ball State traveled to Northern Illinois University for a match up with a potential top four seed in the MAC tournament on the line.
Northern Illinois' hit 58-percent from behind the three-point line during its 80-69 victory over Ball State.
With the loss and a Buffalo victory, Ball State locked up the six seed in the upcoming MAC tournament. On March 7 Ball State will plays its last season at Worthen Arena against Miami.
The winner of that first round game will advance on to a quarter final match against Buffalo in Cleveland, Ohio on March 10.
