Ball State fell in the quarterfinal game of the CollegeInsider.com Invitational Tournament to Columbia 67-69.
On Columbia's last possession, Maodo Lo missed a three-point shot which went out of bounds and gave Ball State possession with 12 seconds remaining in the game.

As the Cardinals went down the floor, sophomore forward Sean Sellers drove to the hoop and was fouled on the shot with 1.9 seconds remaining.
He would miss his first free-throw shot and head coach James Whitford called a timeout.
On the second free-throw, Sellers hit the back of the rim and the ball bounced up on what almost gave freshman center Trey Moses the Cardinals possession.
