MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State men's basketball team has accepted a bid to the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT).
The Cardinals will play a first-round game on the road next week. Details on the date, time and opponent for the game will be finalized in the coming days. The tournament’s first-round games will be played March 14-16.
Ball State will be making its first postseason appearance since 2002 and its 12th overall at the Division I level. The Cardinals have previously played in the NCAA Tournament seven times and the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) four times.
“We are excited to play in a postseason tournament,” Ball State coach James Whitford said.
