MUNCIE, Ind. — This looks so much like three years ago when tornadoes hit Kokomo and damaged hundreds of homes, businesses and schools.
Ball State point guard Tayler Persons was a senior at Kokomo High School then. The storms didn't hit him — he lives on the north side of town, the damage was mostly to the south — but he was still quick to help clean up after surveying the damage with his uncle.
"It was kind of awful," he said. And that's not all. "I've heard this one was way worse."
Eight tornadoes ripped through Indiana on Wednesday, six of them hitting Hendricks, Boone, Hamilton, Tipton and Howard Counties, according to the National Weather Service.
