MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State football finally knows who it’ll play to open the 2020 season, as the Mid-American Conference revealed Wednesday the Cardinals would travel to Miami (Ohio) for a Nov. 4 contest against the RedHawks.
BSU had originally planned on facing Maine, Michigan, Indiana and Wyoming before finishing the year with eight MAC games. The Cardinals had been looking to build on the momentum it gained during the 2019 season by attacking a 12-game slate. Then the COVID-19 pandemic, after initially causing the beginning of Ball State’s schedule to change, led the MAC in August to postpone the season to the spring of 2021.
