DETROIT — As Brandon Martin spoke Tuesday during the Mid-American Conference’s football media day, he reflected on the journey his Ball State career has been.
The veteran inside linebacker, now entering his sixth season at BSU, pointed to the MAC title and Arizona Bowl victory in 2020 as moments that stand out the most. Martin, who’s had Mike Neu as his head coach all those years, pointed to the many moments that came before that historic season and how teams early in his Ball State career struggled. Then Martin looked ahead, to a 2021 season that he said will be his last at BSU, before he moves on and tries to start his professional career.
