PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Ball State baseball team is coming home after winning six of its nine games during spring break. The trip ended Sunday with a 6-1 loss to Kansas.
While Ball State (8-8) had made its mark all week by scoring early in games, it was Kansas that struck first on Sunday morning. KU got two runs in the 1st for an early lead before a home run by Noah Navarro cut the lead in half. It was Navarro's second longball of the year.
Kansas (11-3) tacked on a single run in four later innings to keep control of the game.
