ORLANDO, Fla. - Ball State and UCF traded big plays and rallies into the late hours Wednesday night, and after 5+ hours the host Knights collected a 9-8 victory in 13 innings.
The Cardinals led for much of the evening, taking a 4-0 lead when UCF scored four runs in the bottom of the 7th to tie the game. Ball State and UCF traded zeroes before each team scored twice in the 12th.
In the 13th, Ball State took the lead back when Noah Powell singled and scored, followed by an RBI groundout from Andre Orselli that drove in Aaron Simpson.
