MUNCIE, Ind. – Junior 's two-out RBI single in the seventh inning proved to be the difference in the Ball State baseball team's 3-2 win over Dayton Sunday afternoon at First Merchants Ballpark Complex.
Dayton (5-10) won the first two games of the four-game set, but Ball State (10-10) responded by taking the final two contests.
The Cardinals never trailed in the series finale, taking leads of 1-0 and 2-1. Junior got Ball State on the board with an RBI single up in the middle in the second inning.
After Dayton's Connor Echols notched a solo home run to begin the third inning, senior hit a towering home run to left center in the fifth to put the Cardinals back in front.
