Ball State Drops First Road Match at No. 11 Stanford

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's volleyball team kept itself within striking distance the entire match, but couldn't quite pull out any sets as it fell to No. 11 Stanford, 3-0, on Thursday night at Maples Pavilion.

The Cardinals dropped to 2-2 on the season with the loss while Stanford improved to 3-0.

and led the attack for Ball State on the night with nine kills apiece. Freshman pitched in six. Setter led the Cardinals in assists with 23.

"I'm disappointed with how our team played tonight," said head coach . "We had a few strong individual performances, but as a team we didn't play well enough to win any games or push Stanford to a fourth or fifth set.
