MUNCIE, Ind. — Cardinals fans were treated to a stress-free Saturday afternoon.
Ball State men's basketball (18-7, 9-3 MAC) dominated Bowling Green (10-15, 4-8 MAC) 93-72 to earn its fifth-straight victory and improve to a tie for second place in the Mid-American Conference standings.
The performance marked the team's highest point total in conference play so far, and the third straight game in which five Cardinals scored in double figures. The offensive barrage was spearheaded by sophomore guard Jaylin Sellers, who exploded for 17 points (career-high 5-for-5 on 3s) in just 14 first-half minutes.
Although foul trouble stifled his production in the second half, he and sophomore center Payton Sparks (18 points, eight rebounds, three assists) set an early tone that carried Ball State to a lead as large as 74-45 through the first 29 minutes.
