MUNCIE, Ind. — A few hours before Ball State’s season-opener, Brachen Hazen’s mother sent him what he jokingly called "a good luck text."
The text message from his mom read, "You need to take a puff of an inhaler before the game. You were straining for air last game. I could see it in your throat."
After scoring 15 points in Ball State’s 86-69 win over Indiana State on Tuesday night in front of 4,022 fans at Worthen Arena, Hazen smiled and agreed.
"I could’ve used it towards that last four minutes, honestly. I was huffing and puffing," Hazen said.
