MUNCIE — Ball State's men's basketball team made sure early on Saturday that there wouldn’t be a home losing streak, scoring in bunches on the way to a 100-69 victory over Howard.

Shooting woes? What shooting woes?
Through the season’s first five games, the Cardinals had shown an unusual trend of poor shooting in the first half before improving after halftime. But against the visiting Bison, the Ball State offense was flawless in the first 20 minutes. The team made six of its first seven shots from the field, and all seven of those attempts were from 3-point range.
