MUNCIE, Ind. — It’s been a big week for Lucas Kroft.
First, it became public knowledge that he was transferring high schools – from Fort Wayne Northside to Richmond. His dad got a new job in May that will move the family about two hours south. He will also be reunited with his Northside coach, Shabaz Khaliq, who recently accepted the Richmond job.
And on Friday, the 6-foot-5 wing gave a verbal commitment to Ball State, becoming the first member of the Cardinals’ 2019 recruiting class.
“It feels like a bunch of weight is off my shoulders,” Kroft told the Star Press by phone Saturday morning.
