The Ball State baseball team clinched the Mid-American Conference West Division with an 8-7 win in 10 innings over Toledo on Sunday. It was Ball State's second division title in the last three seasons.
The Cardinals (30-22, 15-9 MAC) scored twice in the top of the 10th as Alex Maloney doubled with two outs, Sean Kennedy drove him in with a double and Griffin Hulecki added an RBI single. Toledo (15-35-1, 11-10), which won the first two games of the series, scored once in the ninth but Maloney came on in relief from shortstop to record the final out.
