MUNCIE, Ind. — A week after the NCAA announced football and basketball athletes could start voluntary activities on campus as soon as June 1, and five days after that ruling expanded to all sports, Ball State President Geoffrey S. Mearns revealed BSU Athletics was close to finalizing a return-to-action plan.
The proposal, at least in the level of detail Mearns spoke with during a Wednesday meeting of Ball State’s Board of Trustees, is only a “working draft” at this point. It may change as BSU’s athletic director, Beth Goetz, and others who are developing it continue to evaluate the landscape before them.
