Ball State will open the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT) on Tuesday at Tennessee State.
After three straight losses to end the season, Ball State head coach James Whitford is looking forward to another shot at capping this campaign with positive momentum. The Cardinals (19-13, 10-8 Mid-American Conference) are playing in their first postseason tournament since 2002.
“It’s great to get a chance to get back on the court,” Whitford said in an earlier interview. “It’s an important step for Ball State in the right direction.”
The Tigers, out of Nashville, Tennessee, are hosting their first Division I postseason game in program history.
