MUNCIE, Ind. — Beth Goetz is no different than any die-hard Ball State basketball fan. When the Cardinals go into a season like this past one with such high expectations and talent on the roster, the first-year Ball State athletic director is as disappointed and unsatisfied as any of them.
Goetz realizes that for some, the perception might have changed regarding head coach James Whitford. But she said she won't overreact in regard to the status of Whitford, who is 89-105 in six seasons and still has three seasons remaining on his contract.
