MUNCIE — Ball State is headed to a postseason tournament.
Head coach James Whitford said after the Cardinals’ Mid-American Conference Tournament loss that his guys need to learn how to play in big games. They’ll have another chance in the CollegeInsider.Com Tournament (CIT) scheduled to kick off first-round games March 14-16.
“It’s critical to play in postseason when you have 18 or 19 wins, playing in the 10th-best league in the country,” athletic director Mark Sandy said. “It helps to enhance how people think about your team, but it also gets you ready to play in postseason the next year.
