MUNCIE Ind. — Molly Hunt knew that she was close to the 1,000 kill mark, but she had no idea when she was going to reach it.
As the match against Daleville began on Thursday, Delta head coach Whitney Stewart, Hunt's family and those at the scorer's table knew — it was only going to take one kill for Hunt to reach the milestone.
She thought she was still a few away, but as she hammered the first kill against Daleville in front of her team's bench Thursday night, the student section — led, in part, by her brother Brady Hunt — erupted with balloons that read, "Congrats 1,000.
