MUNCIE, Ind. -- On the heels of the best tournament of her young career, Ball State’s Sydney Anderson was tabbed Thursday as the Mid-American Conference co-Golfer of the Week.
Anderson set career bests for 54-hole score (218) and 18-hole score (69) at Illinois State’s Redbird Invitational. The sophomore from Columbus, Indiana, posted her best collegiate result with a tie for fourth place in the event at Weibring Golf Club.
Anderson’s 3-under par 69 in the final round, which included three birdies and zero bogeys, matched the second-best score in program history and tied the lowest by a Cardinal since October 2013.
