CLEVELAND, Ohio - Junior Lucas Andersen of the Ball State men's tennis team earned Mid-American Conference Tennis Singles Player of the Week, the conference office announced Thursday.
Andersen continued his winning ways in MAC action, posting a 2-0 record at No. 1 singles this past weekend. Andersen began the weekend Friday, with an impressive straight set victory (6-1, 6-2) over Buffalo's Pablo Alvarez to give Ball State the 2-0 edge over the Bulls. Andersen also won at No. 2 doubles alongside partner Patrick Downs by a score of 6-0 against Buffalo. On Sunday, Andersen closed out the weekend by capturing a 6-4, 7-6 (1) victory over Western Michigan's Maik Steiner on the top court.
