HARTFORD CITY, Ind. — Thinking back to practices his freshman year, Dalton Willmann couldn't help but laugh.
The Blackford senior remembers his teammates showing up and going through practices nonchalantly, giving 50% effort through drills of they wanted. As a result, they entered games intimidated. He said their goal was to try their best and whatever happened, happened. Blackford went 1-22 that season.

Fast-forward to now. Willmann has seen firsthand how drastically that mindset has shifted. Since the first summer practice after Luke Brown arrived, Blackford has believed it could beat anyone it played.
