DALLAS — It was a simple play, one that Shoka Griffin had run hundreds of times before. USA Football's U-16 Select team was just two yards from the end zone and the Muncie Central running back knew he was going to get the ball on a dive right up the middle.
The U.S. National Team got the ball back late in the second quarter, tied 20-20 with Panama during International Bowl XI at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. And — with the Americans' first chance to take the lead — U-16 coach Tim Souza called on Griffin.
